Grace and family,
I know you will dearly miss Dick. He was so proud of his family and the accomplishments of each of them.
I remember his energy at family picnics at Myrick Park and other places. He wanted to see and talk to everyone. I did not know his nickname was “Smiley”. I certainly can see why he had that name.
I am grateful for his service in Korea. That generation and before knew what patriotism was to our country. Our country is free because of soldiers like Dick.
