Obituary for Leann L. Kramer


Leann L. Kramer, 76, of Mindoro, passed away on March 5th, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.

She was born on January 7, 1949 to Douglas “Pete” and Lila (Storandt) Paisley in La Crosse. She attended Melrose-Mindoro High School where she graduated in 1967; the first class to graduate from the new high school. She then attended University of Wisconsin Stout for two years. Leann would go on to marry Armin Kramer in October 1969 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and farm alongside him for many years until his passing in November 1985. She continued to farm until her retirement in 2011.

Leann was a life-long member of the L.A.H.C.E. Homemakers. She also was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church since her marriage, and served on the altar guild. She enjoyed attending lunches with her former classmates and the Red Hats. Leann had many hobbies, including sewing, watching “Jeopardy” and other game shows, doing puzzles in the newspaper, and watching the Green Bay Packers play. Above all else, she valued spending time with her grandchildren. She loved playing cards with them and going to their various events. Leann will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Jill Kramer (Joe Hammes) and Travis (Sarah) Kramer; grandchildren, Sofia, Maria, and Lucy Gonzalez, Colbie and Cash Kramer, and Carrie Pfaff (Cody Johnson); uncle, Harley Paisley; and many nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her husband Armin, Leann is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; and one brother.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2025 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Burr Oak. Reverend Christopher Johns will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Jostad Chapel, West Salem and from 10:00 a.m until the time of service., Friday, at the church.
