Obituary for Larry K. Jones

Larry Kenneth Jones, 79, formerly of Watkins, Colorado, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Serenity House in Tomah, Wisconsin, after a courageous battle with dementia and cancer. He was born November 18, 1945, to Benjamin and Eileen (Beron) Jones.

Larry graduated from Bangor High School in 1963.

After high school, he went to DeVry College in Chicago and then went to work for Lockheed Martin where he worked for over 35 years. Larry had a love for cruises, trains, old cars, and golfing. He was also an avid Packer and Bronco fan.

Larry is survived by his nephews, Michael (Shari) Axelsen and Brian Axelsen and two great-nephews, Lance Axelsen and Dylan Axelsen.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Paul and Ida Beron and David and Hilma Jones; sister, Rhea “Vicki” (David) Axelsen; uncles, Kenneth (Jeri) Beron, Jim (Charlene) Beron, Leslie (Eva) Jones, Willard (Joan) Jones, and Harland Jones; and aunt, Marie Dunaway; foster uncle, Clyde Brown; and foster aunt, Sally Teidt.

A celebration of life visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 August 22, 2025, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Hwy 162 and Hattan St., Bangor. A private burial will be held at a later date.
