Obituary for Leander "Lee" Breeser
Leander 'Lee' Otto Louis Breeser, 88, of Eitzen, MN, passed into his eternal glory on October 10, 2025. Lee was born May 5, 1937, to John and Laura (Schuttemeier) Breeser in New Albin, IA. Lee was drafted into the army from 1960 to 1962. He served his time in Gonsenheim, Germany. Upon returning to the states, he met and married the love of his life, Joan Burroughs. Together, they loved and supported each other for 62 years.
Lee was an over-the-road truck driver and worked the majority of his life for Kurk trucking. He was proud to be awarded for 30 years/million miles of driving with no preventable accidents. He was a 21-year member of Eitzen Fire Department so he worked many 4th of July's, setting off those spectacular fireworks. Lee's passion for tractors started with antique tractor pulling and evolved into an impressive collection of toy tractors, pedal tractors and farm equipment. Lee enjoyed going on antique tractor rides.
Lee is survived by his wife, Joan, son, Tony (Beth) Breeser, daughter, Nancy (Allan) Cordes, son, Russ (Vicki) Breeser, grandchildren, Brandon (Krissy) Cordes, William (Jordan) Cordes, Elliot (Michelle) Breeser, Amy (Sam) Kiefer, and Kaydi Breeser, great-grandchildren, Rhett Breeser, Dalton Breeser and Ladon Kiefer, sister, Elaine (Milton) Burroughs and brother, Johnny (Sharon) Breeser, sisters- in-law, Alice (Jack) Schleich, Donna (Al) Schlinsog, Jeanne (Larry) Kruse, Irma (Bob) Burroughs and Jan (Tim) Burroughs.
Lee was preceded in death by his sisters, Luella (Merlin) Meyer and Ruth Breeser, brothers- in- law, Bob (Irma) Burroughs, Milton (Elaine) Burroughs, Donnie (Bonnie) Burroughs and Tim (Jan) Burroughs, sisters-in-law, Lucille (Bob) Colsch, Lois (Lyle) Nelson and Bonnie (Donnie) Burroughs.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St Luke's Church in Eitzen, MN. Pastor Michael McCann will be officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
