Obituary for Ronald L. Rasmussen

He was born October 7, 1942, in Rockland, to Ralph and Lenora (Larson) Rasmussen. Ronald was a 1960 graduate of Bangor High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1960 until 1963. On June 3, 1977, Ronald married Eileen Brueggeman in Sparta. He was employed as a welder for 38 years at Trane Company.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; sons, Todd (Sherri), Randy (Jimmy), and Ricky (Brian); four grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Blazek, Krista Hove, Chris Hove, Lucas (Sam) Fritsch, and Ryan Rasmussen; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Chris and Alex Blazek, Dylan, Ascher, and Langston Hove, Bella, Carson, and Addi Fritsch, and Lincoln and Sutton Rasmussen; siblings, Karen Wilberding, Duaine Rasmussen, and Doug Rasmussen.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Oscar Larson.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the Rockland Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by the Anderson-Good American Legion Post 40 of Bangor and the United States Navy Funeral Honor Guard. A celebration of life will follow at the Bangor American Legion.
