Obituary for Jo Ann Kay Triplett

Jo Ann Kay Triplett (nee Wiemer), 75, of La Crosse, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 6, 2026. While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, our spirits are overjoyed that she is at home with the Lord; free from pain and her many health ailments.

Jo Ann was born on November 6, 1950, to John and Altheia (Kube) Wiemer of Arcadia, WI. She graduated from Arcadia High School in 1968 and worked at Trane Company in the purchasing department for 28 years, before her retirement in 2008.

She met and married the love of her life, Vernon R. Triplett, on September 15, 1973. They were blessed with 31 years of marriage before Vern’s passing in 2004. Faith and family were always a priority in their lives. Together they enjoyed playing cards with friends, camping with the family, going to the casino, and cooking wonderful family meals. After Vern’s passing, she filled her time reading, playing cards and bingo, games on her computer, diamond dot art, and doing Bible studies with her daughters. Above all else, the thing that always brightened her day and lifted her spirits were her two grandchildren, Mason and Faith. She loved to listen to them sing worship music, play their violin, or hear about their school projects or sporting events. They were the light of her world.

Jo Ann is survived by her daughters, Trisha (Craig) Von Ruden of La Crescent, MN and Tami Triplett of Caledonia, MN; two sisters, Judy (John) Stange of La Crosse, WI and Janet (Chris) Kislinger of Hixton WI; brother, John Wiemer of Arcadia,WI; brother-in-law, James (Peggy) Running of Minneapolis, MN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vern Triplett; two heavenly grandchildren; parents, John and Altheia Wiemer; parents-in-law, Ralph Triplett and Gladys Ward; brother-in-law, Duane (Doris) Triplett; sisters-in-law, Diane Running and Faith Pederson; Jack and Leonette (Lee) Frost; and many other family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cass Street Assisted Living for all the love, care, and support she received over the past few years.

Services will be Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11am at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Woodruff Chapel, 4239 Mormon Coulee Road, La Crosse, WI. A visitation will be held from 9am until the time of service. Jon Reiner will be leading the service.
