Obituary for Sidney Jerome


Sidney A Jerome, 78, of Bangor, WI entered his Heavenly Home Friday, February 27, 2026, by dancing to Polkas the whole way there; into his daughter, Laura’s arms. He was also greeted by his grandson Adam Anderson who passed away February 15, 2026 in Wyoming. Sidney had Dementia with Lewy Bodies and Parkinson’s Disease.

He was the tenth of eleven children born November 17, 1947, to Maynard and Dorothy (Baker) Jerome. Sidney met Karen Rediske at the Moonlight Pavilion in Cataract and they were married on February 18, 1967.

Sidney was a jack-of-all-trades and built his dairy farm from the ground up in the Town of Burns, on the Jerome Family Farm.

He is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife of 59 years, Karen; three children, Julie Anderson, Beth Pfaff, and Curtis (Tiffany) Jerome; son-in-law, Leonard Antony; six grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Buchner, Kendra (Luke) Markwardt, Austin Anderson, Derek (Miranda) Antony, Andrew (Rion) Antony, and Dygger Pfaff; eight great-grandchildren, Emmett, Hayden, Wylie, and Cooper Buchner, Parker and Tatum Antony, and Opie and Reid Antony; dear terrier companions, Mollie and Billy Joe.

He is also survived by brothers, Maynard (Karen) Jerome and David (Margaret) Jerome; sisters, Dorothy Christianson and Betty Graack; sisters-in-law, Joy Jerome, Jane Jerome, and Ruthie Jerome; along with many other relatives and dear friends.

Sidney was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura (Leonard) Antony; grandson, Adam Anderson; brothers, Marvin, Raymond and wife Eleanor, Harlan, and Roger; sisters, Ruby and husband, Norm Culpitt, and Delores and husband, Larry Adams; brothers-in-law, Manley Christianson and Ernie Graack.

Sidney’s whole family would like to express deep gratitude with the exceptional care he received from all of Lakeview Health Center Staff and St. Croix Hospice Chaplains and all of their wonderful, caring ladies. Also to Pastors Sara Hallberg from Bells Coulee Church, Bangor, and Pastor Jon Schmidt from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, West Salem for your prayers and visits.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Bangor Chapel, Hwy 162 and Hattan St., Bangor.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Bells Coulee Lutheran Church, N7289 County Road E, Bangor, WI. Pastor Sara Hallberg will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., until the time of service, Saturday, at the church.
