Obituary for Mary Ann Pankratz
Mary Ann Pankratz, 72, of La Crosse, WI, passed away peacefully, with her loving husband, Gordo Pankratz, by her side on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from complications from ALS.
She was born in La Crosse on January 2, 1954, to George and Mary (Humfeld) Bettin. She married Gordo Pankratz on August 14, 1982, in Saint Joseph the Workman Cathedral, La Crosse.
She enjoyed walking, bird watching, and dancing with the love of her life. She is survived by her husband, Gordo (her greatest catch); a daughter, Samantha (Keith Curran); a son, David; her beloved grandchildren, Evelynn and Nolan; a sister, Theresa (John Baldridge) Hundt, two brothers, Greg (Linda) Bettin and Mike (Dawn) Bettin; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dan Bettin, sister, Rose Steigerwald; and nephew, Nick Bettin.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services, and her remains will be cremated.
