Obituary for Diane L. Osgood

Diane L. Osgood passed away at her home on May 26, 2026, at the age of 76.

She was born in La Crosse, at St. Francis Hospital, on May 10, 1950, to Wallace and Jeanette (Davis) Wadel. Diane attended Mindoro Elementary and graduated from Melrose-Mindoro High School in 1968.

On June 8, 1968, Diane married her best friend, Dennis Osgood. Together they raised their three children and celebrated just short of 58 years of marriage.

Diane worked a few years at Mindoro Elementary School as a cleaning person and then worked as a house keeper at Lakeview Health Care Center for 23 years. She truly enjoyed assisting the residents there.

Her hobbies included cross stitch, puzzles, arts and crafts, and spoiling the grandkids. Before her decline, she and Dennis enjoyed taking day trips around the area visiting the small towns and enjoying the countryside; but you had to be home by evening.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis; daughter, Kristin Osgood; son, Billy (Nicole) Osgood; daughter-in-law, Angie Osgood; grandchildren, Morgan Adams, Gentry Niedfeldt, Garrett Osgood, Isabella Finch, Atlanta Stanton, Jesse Manske, Mercedes Osgood, Justice Roraff, and Olympia and Genevieve Osgood; great-grandchildren, Ari Osgood, Billy Finch, Juniper and Ronan Manske, Waylon Roraff, and Jack Stanton; her sister, Darlene Hanson and her family; sisters-in-law, Arleen Huber, Karen Johnson, Doris Soukup, Mickey Osgood, Helen and Richard Gates, and Sherry and Bruce Woods.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her eldest son, Chad; sister-in-law, Charlotte Servais; brothers-in-law, Bernie Servais, Wendell Osgood, Sheldon Osgood, Robert Huber, Richard Johnson, Edward Soukup, and Gerald Hanson.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held June 7, 2026, at Cindy’s Bar and Restaurant in Mindoro from 12 noon until 3:00 p.m.

A private service for immediate family will be held at the gravesite.
