Obituary for David Andrew Path


Bangor Wisconsin - David Andrew Path, 75, died October 30, 2025, at his home in Bangor, Wis. He was born July 9, 1950, at St. Mary's Hospital in La Crosse, Wis., to Louis and Alma (Zeichert) Path.

David graduated from Bangor High School in 1968. Both during his high school years and after his graduation, he worked for the family business, Farmer's Creamery Company in Bangor. Dave became an officer in the company and was involved in warehousing and cheese grading. He was also a State of Wisconsin licensed cheese grader. The Farmer’s Creamery Company was sold in 1985 and he worked for a brief period of time for Golden California Cheese Company in Corona, Calif., in 1986.

After returning from California, he continued his education, and graduated with an associate of applied arts degree, in 1989, from Western Technical College in La Crosse. David graduated with a bachelor of science degree in May of 1994 from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse with a major in business administration. He was a Dean's List student and worked on The Americans with Disabilities Act Project.

Throughout his life, David was an outdoorsman and avid hunter. He kept hunting dogs and enjoyed raising pheasants and other birds He also enjoyed collecting hunting/antique firearms and model trains. Dave had a vast collection of books on early American History. David also wrote short articles such as “The Battle of Little Big Horn” and “General Custer.”

David was preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include his sister, Judith (Path) Ruesch of Las Vegas Nev., and a brother, James (Carol) Path of Madison, Wis.

Celebration of life services will be held 1:30 pm on Saturday July 11, 2026, at the Fredrickson Funeral Home, Hwy 162 and Hattan St., Bangor.
