Obituary for Kevin Gordon Korth
Kevin Gordon Korth, 61, of Bangor WI, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of family following a tragic ATV accident.
Born on November 21, 1964, in Fond du Lac, WI, Kevin was the beloved son of LuVerne and Beverly Korth. He grew up in West Salem, WI and carried throughout life the values of hard work, humor, and passion for all things he did.
Kevin married the love of his life, Wendy Kay Wiemerslage, on December 5, 1987. The two shared many amazing moments together that Wendy will cherish for the rest of her life. Together they had three children that will continue to honor their dad's need to always protect those who matter the most to them.
Kevin devoted his life to his family and to the people he loved. To those who knew Kevin, the memories are countless: his laughter around the dinner table, the stories he loved to tell, or the way he never missed a moment to tease those he loved. He enjoyed farming, spending time making memories with his family, going out for breakfast with his classmates, and spending time with his brother, Brian. Many memories Kevin and his family have are from the trips that he planned for them, notably his most recent trip to Jamaica with Wendy and their kids. Most of the family’s favorite moments with Kevin were spent down at his shed just hanging out.
More than any accomplishment, Kevin will be remembered for his loving heart. He taught us to ensure we always had a plan, to always find the humor in the little things, and to never turn down a cold Bud Light. The love he gave continues to live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Wendy; children, Lindsey (Bradley) Gilberts, Travis (Sadie) Korth, and Kelsey (Derek) Panos; grandchildren, Declan and Norah Gilberts, and Ryleigh and Owen Panos; brothers, Gary (Linda) Korth and Brian (Debbie) Korth; sisters, Sandy Hubbard and Wendy (David) Traustch; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his grandson William Gordon Korth; parents, LuVerne and Beverly Korth; brother, Larry Korth; Wendy's parents, Larry (Terry) and Lynda Wiemerslage; and many others whom he loved and missed deeply.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the years, memories, and unconditional love we shared with Kevin. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to guide our family for generations.
Not surprising to anyone, Kevin had made the amazing decision to be an organ donor--because as his family and close friends can picture him saying, "who wouldn't want a piece of this." We are so proud of Kevin and being able to celebrate him in this way has been a very special journey.
The family would like to the thank staff at Emplify Health in La Crosse; especially, Dr. Hughes, nurses: Kayla, Amelia, Kelli, Miya, Desi, Pa, and Courtney from respiratory therapy, for not only their amazing care but their compassion towards Kevin and themselves during his time at the hospital. They also extend their thank yous to the emergency crews that assisted on the scene of the accident.
A public visitation will be from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, 121 North Youlon Street, West Salem. Following the visitation, everyone is welcome to Kromie's Bar in West Salem for a time of fellowship.
A private service for family will be on Tuesday followed by burial in Neshonoc Cemetery.
