Obituary for Leslie K. "Les" Jacobson

Leslie Keith "Les" Jacobson, 80, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at Bluffview Memory Care in Holmen. He was born May 17, 1946, in La Crosse, to Adolph and Helen (Olson) Jacobson.

Les worked on trains for over 40 years beginning with the Milwaukee Railroad. He then transitioned to Soo Line retiring from Canadian Pacific Railroad. Les collected train and Elvis memorabilia. He enjoyed reading, watching movies; especially older westerns, and rooting for the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.

Survivors include his family, a brother, Art (Mary) Jacobson; sister, Grace Peloquin; brother, Dave (Phyllis) Jacobson; sister, Nancilee Sina; and nieces, nephews, and of course, his favorite cousins.

Les was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; sisters, Darlene Jacobson and Marjorie Jolin; niece, Shannan Peloquin and nephew, Hunter Peloquin; sister-in-law, Linda Jacobson; and brothers-in-law, Glenn Sina and Wm. Peloquin.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, 4239 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Children's Miracle Network-La Crosse, Emplify by Gundersen Health System; ASPCA, Tabby Town where Les adopted two of his kitties
