Obituary for Steven F. Quackenbush
Steven Francis Quackenbush, 59, born in Sparta, Wis., on October 2, 1966, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his residence in La Crosse.
He is survived by his children, Zachary Quackenbush and Arieanna Quackenbush; grandchildren, Hannah Howe (age 12), Daniel Bester (age 11), Addelyn Fredricks (age 5), and Mason Fredricks-Quackenbush (age 2); brother, Michael (Christine) Quackenbush; ex-wife, Christine Quackenbush; step-mother, Sue Quackenbush; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Yahnke-Quackenbush; father, Kenneth Quackenbush; grandparents, Clyde and Rose Quackenbush; uncle, James “Jimmy” Quackenbush; and an aunt, Lois Roof.
A celebration of Steven’s life will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at Club 16, 1615 W. Wisconsin St., Sparta.
The family would like to thank the owners, guardian, house managers, and many other staff members over many years of Lakeview Health Center in West Salem as well as the residential facility he was living at in La Crosse.
